The text of each paper is a single 'page'. The text was prepared using Times font.
I apologise that several of these papers were written in the days before sexist language was
considered important. Please read 'he' and 'man' as general terms referring to both sexes.

The server only allows access to this site through the main index page.
Figures
To speed up downloading, Figures have been made as small as possible rather than elegant. To
minimise repetition, only one version of each Figure is included on the site, so it may not be
the version originally published with a particular paper.
References
My apologies for some inconvenience in accessing the references for some of the papers, but
typing references is one of my least favourite tasks, and to minimise repetition this section
consists of a dump of my data bases, with minimal punctuation.

Site
The maximum size of this site is 5MB. The site was prepared on a Mac using Corel Word
Perfect 3.5 and GraphicConverter 2.8, and was checked using Netscape Navigator 2. The site
contains no image maps, frames, animations, sounds, or links to other sites.
Usage limits
This site is free and has an 'excessive use' limit. In the extremely unlikely event that you
receive an 'Error 503 : site unavailable' message, my apologies (and my thanks for your
interest ! And I will be trying to do something about it).
